A social political group under the aegis of Delta State PDP Professionals, DSPF, has called on the Executive Governor of Delta State, the State leadership of the Party Peoples Democratic, His Excellency former Governor James Onanefe Ibori and Dr Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan to save the party from losing the state as a result of the quagmire the party currently faces.
The call was made by the group as a result of the infighting between the PDP governorship candidates, Rt Hon Sheriff Francis O. Oborevwori and Olorogun David Edevbie respectively.
Coordinator of the group, Prince Aboyowa Staysee Omajugho made this called on leaders and elders of the party to put the interest of the party above personal interest, gains and save it from losing the state in the 2023 governorship election to the opposition APC and other political parties.
According to Omajugho, “The opposition parties are waiting patiently to take advantage of the infighting and disunity in the party to take over Delta State come 2023.
“I want to on behalf of the Delta State PDP professionals call on our leaders and elders to look deeply and critically at the advantages and disadvantages in the power play currently rocking the Delta State PDP, live up to expectation and handle the challenges head on and show Deltans that indeed PDP is truly in charge of the state by resolving all burning issues causing disaffection.
“Anything contrary to this that might result in losing the state will be greatly regrettable, should this happen there will be unimaginable woes and pains for the party and it will take another decade to change this narrative.
“God forbid such a situation for the party. As we await to hear the judgement of the Appeal court in our great country we appeal to all leaders to think of the interest and survival of the party above any other interest.
